ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION : JUNIOR COLLEGE

Senior Secondary Certificate from any Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent.

F.Y.J.C/11th Commerce

Western College of Commerce & Business Management has started 11th or XI Commerce from 2015 -16. The Junior College is recognized by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune & by the Government of Maharashtra. The subjects offered in FY J.C. are as follows:

  1. English
  2. Hindi / Marathi / IT
  3. Economics
  4. Book keeping & Accountancy
  5. Organization of Commerce & Management
  6. Secretarial Practice / Mathematics & Statistics
  7. Environment Education
  8. Physical Education

Admission Procedure :

Admission to FYJC class starts after the declaration of the results of the SSC examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Examinations, Pune. The procedure is as laid down by the Director of Education. Fees will be charged as per the guidelines of the Secondary Education Board of Mumbai, Government of Maharashtra.

Examinations :

The examinations of the first year Junior College (FYJC) are conducted by the college on behalf of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Pune & Second year (SYJC) examination is conducted by Maharashtra State Board. For F.Y.J.C. examination candidates must carry the hall Ticket / l-Card issued by the college. Hall Tickets are issued only after full fees are paid & there is no default of attendance according to the rules of the Board.

Scheme of Examination :

Examination will be conducted in two terms, i.e., one unit test & one term end exam every term. The evaluation of the performance of the student in theory shall be on the basis of unit test & semester examination along with project work. The average marks are taken of overall performance of both unit test & semester end exams in theory & practical. The average passing marks is 35%.
